Free Birthday Tour FAQ

Please explain this free birthday tour!
Anyone participating in a regular public tour during their birthday month will receive a free tour, as long as they are accompanied by another person who has paid for an adult-priced tour.

What is a regular public tour?
The free birthday tour is only redeemable for all regular publicly scheduled tours. All regular tours are listed on our schedule and are marked 'Kensington Market Sweets Tour' or 'Trinity Bellwoods Chocolate Tour'. Any tour with a different name is a holiday/special tour and not eligible for the free birthday tour.

How do I book the tour?
Use the promo code 'happybirthday' when making your online booking. Please ensure the promo code is used only for the birthday celebrant's booking and not for the other participants. The birthday celebrant must show their ID to the tour guide at the start of the tour.

Can only the birthday boy or girl make the tour booking?
Not at all! We know many of you want to surprise a friend or family member with Toronto's sweetest tour, so go ahead and book that tour - just use the promo code 'happybirthday' when completing their booking.

Can we have multiple people redeeming a free birthday tour in our group?
Yes, as long as you have a corresponding number of people (or more) who have paid for a full-priced adult tour.

Do I have to make the tour booking AND take the tour during the birthday month?
Nope, you do not have to make your online booking during the birthday month; however the tour the birthday celebrant attends must take place during the birthday month.

How far in advance can I book the tour?
Tours can generally only be booked a maximum of 3 months in advance, so if your birthday month (or your friend's) is more than 3 months from now, just hang tight for a bit and check back closer to the special day.

How long is this promo for?
Who knows? ;)

Well, I want something more special for my birthday...
If a regular tour won't cut it for your birthday and you want more treats, goodie bags, or simply to celebrate only with your loved ones, enquire about our private tours here.
